Seema Gadri , kidnapepd by
her dad in 2004 village:vijaipura’
When Seema’s mother could not fulfill her father’s dowry
demand he forced her go away from his house and kept his daughter Seema. Seema’s
mother returned to her parents and hear the seema’s father(kishanlaal) parades
her at the back of his cycle advertises that he would marry her to whom-so-ever
can offer her a bride. A 45 years old mand offered to marry her 14 year old
daughter to Kishanlaal in exchange of
his teenage daughter Seema as a bride.
Hearing this new Seema’s mother got very tensed and
worried made all attempts to locate her daughter and get her back.
When Seema’s uncles contacted Taraji for help she found that Seems was
kept (kidnapped) in a neighbouring district Rajsamand. Its evern more difficult
to work with a different district police but Taraji tried her best to persuade
them to enter Kishanlaal’s house and rescue seema. Taraji met the police chief
officer of that district stayed with the family to offer support and in the
morning finally at 4:00 am police started searching for seems at kishnalaal’s
palce. But she was still not found. Suddenly they found a weak hungry Seems
come out of haystack. Interestingly when
seems heard about her father’s evil plans she hid herself under a haystack
where animals are fed. She stayed there for 4 days without food and water and
kept waiting for her mother to rescure her. When she finally realized that she
is safe from her father..she came out and expressed the desire to go to her
mother. This is how Seema was saved from a cruel unmatched barter of brides and
marriage. She and her family is indebted to Taraji’s help in finding her.
We honor Seema for her intelligence, courage and timely wise plan to
hide to save herself. It requires a lot of courage to think clearly in pressure
and not succumb to it. She has impressed us all by her presence of mind , faith
and determination in such a difficult situation. Today she stayed with her mother
and mother’s brother, values education and will soon graduate from 10th
standard.
