18 y.o. Jahida Bano, wife of Rais Mohmma, Resident of Bijoulia:
Jahida lost her parents in an accident when she was 3 years old, and from then on she was looked after by her paternal uncle Yusuf. Her childhood was devoid of any luxuries as her uncle didn’t earn much. She got married to Rais Mohammad of Bijoulia village by the age of 18. She died under suspicious circumstances within 14 months of her wedding. When her uncle was informed of her death by her neighbor, he left for her village immediately, but her in laws had already buried her by the time he reached there. He protested against that, and after returning back to Bhilwara, and told BMCS head Tara Ahluwalia about the incident. Mrs. Ahluwalia, took Yusuf to superintendent of police, and requested him to exhume her body and postmortem be performed on it. This is forbidden in Islamic traditions, but he was forced to do it under pressure from BMCS, and he order local Bijoulia police officers to cooperate with BMCS. As Bijoulia is a muslim majority area, we took media with us to the village. The news of this exhumation spread like a fire in the village. Jahida's in laws protested against it saying this is against Islam, and they didn’t want the postmortem to take place, and the entire village was against it. The postmortem report revealed
